The Watershed Monitoring and Assessment Section of the Iowa DNR - Iowa Geological Survey is responsible for the design, implementation and management of Iowa's Ambient Water Monitoring Program. The purpose of the program is to develop and deliver consistent, unbias.ed information about the condition of Iowa's surface and groundwater resources so that decisions regarding the development, management and protection of these resources may be improved.

10th Annual Water Monitoring Conference and IOWATER Conference

The 10th Annual Water Monitoring Conference and IOWATER Conference will be held April 9-10, 2010, at the Scheman Building on the Iowa State University campus in Ames, IA. The theme of this year’s event will be: "Monitoring for the Next Decade".
