M-1 core - 246 feet

The core is dominated by clasts of the shallowest pre-impact units (photomicrograph), primarily Cretaceous rocks (photomicrograph) with Paleozoic clasts comprising the secondary lilthology (photomicrograph). This is the uppermost impact lithology (the last unit deposited). It is found in all terranes of the Manson Impact Structure and comprises the bedrock unit over 95% of the structure. (map)
